No. 6th Typhoon In-Fa, which means fireworks, is expected to make landfall in northern coastal area(from Zhoushan to Sanmen Bay) of Zhejiang province from Sunday(July,25) afternoon to evening as a strong or super typhoon. This typhoon is of strong intensity, wide cloud system, heavy rainfall and long duration. It is expected that the city will be overcast with showers on the night of July 24, with localized torrential rain in some areas. On July 25, it is expected to be overcast with heavy to torrential rain, and localized torrential rain. On July 26, it is expected to be overcast with torrential rain and rainstorm.
In order to deliver solid typhoon prevention work, Yiwu Municipal Flood Control, Typhoon Prevention and Drought Relief Headquarters has upgraded the typhoon emergency response to Level I at 13:30 today, and urge all residents to pay close attention to change in weather, enhance self-protection, and implement various preventive measures, so as to minimize the loss caused by the typhoon. Hereby, relevant announcements are made as follows.
1. From July 25 to 28, residents shall cut unnecessary trips and try to stay at home as much as possible. If necessary to go out, please check the weather forecast in advance and take appropriate self-protections.
2. From July 25 to 28, all education and training institutions in the city shall stay closed. Public buses shall be operated at longer departure interval in mountainous area. All public parking buildings, ground parking lots and parking spaces shall be open for free. All residents are requested to park in an orderly manner and avoid parking at the basement or places vulnerable to water pooling.
3. Please close doors and windows while ensure the safe operation of electrical circuits, gas and other facilities. Move flower pots and other hanging objects at roofs, balconies, and window sills to safe places. Reinforce outdoor air conditioners, solar water heaters and other facilities. Reinforce or remove outdoor billboards to prevent falling objects from hurting people.
4. Please stay away from the places vulnerable to geological disasters, especially the roads near the lakes and mountains where falling rocks and landslides frequently occur. Do not take shelter from the wind and rain near temporary buildings, billboards, iron towers, and trees.
5. Reinforce vegetable scaffolds and ensure the protection of farmland facilities such as greenhouses. Dredge ditches and dams to ensure unblocked water systems.
6. Construction projects in progress shall be suspended and construction personnel on site shall be transferred. Check and strengthen facilities and equipment such as tower cranes, fences, and scaffolding.
7. Personnel living in dilapidated houses, simple houses, iron-made houses, temporary sheds, and low-lying areas shall follow the government’s arrangements and evacuate to safe areas.
8. Party members and cadres must respond actively to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and the government, always be at the forefront of typhoon prevention and disaster relief, screening risks and hazards, providing emergency relief, and offering aid, aiming to make all-out efforts to reduce disaster losses and make life and work more convenient for the people.
